Common Questions

Do I need a US visa?

No. You can form a US LLC entirely remotely from anywhere in the world. No visa, no travel required.

Can I open a US bank account?

Yes — many international founders open a US business account remotely with just a passport and their formation documents. Mercury, Relay, and Wise Business are popular options. Final approval is always up to the individual bank.

Do I need to pay US taxes?

It depends on your country's tax treaty with the US. Single-member LLCs owned by non-residents are generally not subject to US federal income tax on foreign-sourced income. We recommend consulting a CPA for your specific situation.

ITIN vs EIN?

An EIN (Employer Identification Number) is your business tax ID — every LLC needs one. An ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) is a personal tax ID for individuals who don't have an SSN. You may need an ITIN for personal US tax filings.
